The Weakest Link Based on the British format of the same name where nine contestants competed for a potential prize of $100,000.
Gameplay[]
Their are eight rounds in total, starting with the "Strongest Link" in each round, players are asked a series of questions which they must attempt to answer. for each correct answer the team builds a chain of monetary amounts, which increase in value. When a player provides a wrong answer or passes, the chain is broken and the money collected in the chain is lost. the way to ensure the money will be saved is to "BANK" the earnings. at this point in the game a new chain is started. and their is a time limit which decreases for each round as players are eliminated. the money that's been accumulated at the end of each round at the end of the show forms the total prize money.

Final Round[]
By the end of the 7th round, only two players remain. as they are left to fight it out in the "best of five", which each player is alternatively asked a series of questions. after the round, the player with the most correct answers wins the accumulated prize money. however, if both players are ended in a tie, then the questions will continue until one of the players obtains an outright lead over the other and is deemed the winner and the their prize money home.

A Board Game based on Frances version was made by Blue Opal in 2001.
Trivia[]
Brydon Coverdale once appeared on the show in 2001. He is now one of the Chasers on The Chase Australia where he is nicknamed "The Shark".
Frances died on 28 May 2018 due to bladder cancer.
On April 28, 2021; the Nine network version[1]was originally going to be aired on May 4 but was delayed towards the end of May having only commenced production in the last week. In its May 4 slot, it was replaced with a movie from 2017 called Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
